About the event

(A fundraiser for the Museum of Food, Singapore)

Audra Morrice is a Singapore-born chef, author, and television personality whose cooking is shaped by memory, migration, and lived experience. Drawing from her Chinese, Indian, and Southeast Asian roots, she approaches food with care—honouring tradition while gently reimagining it.

Her creation of spiced Indian takoyaki brings together her husband’s culture and her own, inspired by two beloved snacks: South Indian vadai and Japanese takoyaki, with a sweet prawn tucked inside for an unexpected burst of flavour. The dish won her a challenge on MasterChef Australia: Back to Win (2025), and even found its way onto one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant menus!

Join us for an afternoon of hands-on cooking and honest dialogue—where recipes become starting points for thinking about culture, identity, and the ever-evolving nature of what we eat.

Come ready to cook, to question, and to stir the pot!
